Ø Dogecoin Used as Prize for High School Esports League: The High School Esports League (HSEL) in the U.S. awarded 50,000 DOGE as the prize for a League of Legends tournament held from September 20 to November 22, 2014. The matches were broadcast on Twitch.tv.

Ø Dogetipbot Raised $446,000 in Funding: Dogetipbot, a popular tipping tool supporting Reddit, Twitter, and Twitch, raised nearly $446,000 in seed funding led by Blackbird Ventures. The tool has processed over 650 million transactions.

Ø GoCoin Plans to Support Dogecoin Payments: Global payment platform GoCoin announced plans to support Dogecoin. According to its founder, the decision was influenced by Dogecoin’s strong community and social impact. Once integrated, merchants will be able to accept Dogecoin along with other cryptocurrencies, helping to boost sales and customer engagement.

Ø U.S.-based Xidax Accepts Dogecoin Payments: After successfully implementing Bitcoin payments, U.S. custom PC builder Xidax responded to user demand by becoming the first high-end PC builder to accept Dogecoin as a payment method.

Ø EGIFTER.COM Supports Dogecoin for Gift Cards: As more e-commerce platforms begin accepting Dogecoin for shopping cards, major gift card exchange site EGIFTER.COM has started supporting Dogecoin payments for purchasing gift cards.

Ø Dogecoin Game Raises Funds for Doctors Without Borders: A themed fundraising challenge based on unity used a Dogecoin-powered game to collect donations. The funds were directed to Doctors Without Borders for treating Ebola victims and improving living conditions in West Africa.

Ø CheapAir Accepts Dogecoin for Flights: On September 4, 2014, CheapAir—after previously accepting Bitcoin for booking transportation—announced it would begin accepting Dogecoin and Litecoin for flight bookings. Its Bitcoin-related sales had already reached $1.5 million.
